Akkha Masoor is the spicy-hot delicacy of western Maharashtra. Masoor is supposed to be one of the highest protein-containing pulses and they provide immense strength, are muscle strengthening, and therefore the best preparation for bodybuilders and health-conscious people.
Hot spices and a red chili blend make it a very tasty and ever-tempting preparation.
Masoor is eaten with spicy gravy and very tasty tarri which is red and hot. Served hot with Pav or Parathas and raw onion, makes it a fantastic treat when eaten with pav! The one and the only way it is served in Munchy Mumbai is just great!
